Reverend Chris Brown and Miss Ilfa Jones have travelled from Malvern today to visit The Eisteddfod. After being turned away from another stand who would not let them sit down because they had their own drink of water, despite Miss Jones being severely disabled, the Macmillan ladies came to the rescue! Not only were they offered a seat, they were also provided with tea and welsh cakes whilst they rested, on what has turned out to be a very warm day here in Abergavenny.
Reverend Brown said “I would like to say a big thank you to these kind ladies for helping us”. He went on to say that following their kindness, he was going to set up a Macmillan Coffee Morning in his Parish in Malvern to return the kindness and give something back. So, a very well deserved stall of the day goes to the Macmillan Cymru ladies.
